The impact of internationalisation means that the demand for professional English communication skills is increasing. Marketing professionals need to speak English more frequently in phone calls, presentations, meetings and face to face contacts with international customers, colleagues and stakeholders. Written communication is also increasing in the form of emails and reports. It is therefore essential that marketing professionals are able to communicate fluently and can use the correct business and marketing terminology.
This programme gives you the skills needed to feel confident and work effectively in English-speaking professional contexts. You develop your specific marketing vocabulary, improve your ability to give presentations, take part in meetings and write email in English. The programme offers intensive training in using the language of marketing, building vocabulary in the areas of marketing strategy and planning, branding, market research, trends and forecast and market communications.

Coursefact
Day 1: 10.00-17.00. Day 2: 9.00-16.00. Coffee is served from 9.30.
Marketing professionals working in international marketing consultancies or multinational companies, who deal with international clients or collaborate in marketing campaigns/issues with colleagues and need to communicate confidently and effectively in English.
The goal of the training is to:

| • | increase your spoken and written fluency, confidence and clarity when communicating in English for professional situations |
| • | develop your English language for presenting and discussing your ideas at meetings, in a marketing context. |
You will be given a need analysis by a telephone interview with questions about your work and need for English and will be asked to write a short description of your products/services and market. The course will then be adapted to the right level and needs of the group.
Fluency exercises such as role plays, pair work and group work activities to practise communicating in English and encourage discussion and reflection. Vocabulary input comes from marketing texts and case studies on key areas of marketing, advertising and corporate communication etc. Participants get the chance to share and discuss their own experience, materials (eg presentations material, marketing materials, case studies) and special areas of interest.
