The four-day programme "English for HR professionals" gives you the skills you need to feel confident and work effectively in English-speaking professional contexts. You develop your specific HR vocabulary, improve your ability to give presentations, attend meetings and write email in English.

The programme offers intensive training in using the language to describe the key concepts and vocabulary used in Human Resources. Discussion topics include: corporate culture, resourcing/recruiting, remuneration and reward, developing people, equal opportunities and cross-cultural awareness.

Goal

The goal of the training is to:

build your active HR vocabulary in English, targeting key areas such as competence, development leadership and motivation
increase your fluency, confidence and clarity when communicating in English for professional situations
be better at presenting HR policy, processes and discussing in meetings.
Your needs and level

You will be given a need analysis by a telephone interview with questions about your work and need for English and will be asked to write a short description of your HR role. The course will then be adapted to the right level and needs of the group.

Methodology

Fluency exercises such as role plays, pair work and group work activities to practise communicating in English and encourage discussion and reflection. Vocabulary input comes from Human Resources texts, articles and case studies on key areas. A strong focus is placed on learners' own experience, material, HR materials, case studies and special areas of interest.
